Game Introduction
Big Two is a popular poker game in the Chinese-speaking world. In Taiwan, it is called "Big Two" or "Step by Step Higher" (Bu Bu Gao Sheng), and in Guangdong, it is called "Cho Dai Di". The rules vary slightly. In "iTaiwan Big2" we adopt the authentic, original Taiwanese rules, ensuring you have great luck and rise step by step ^^
Game Methods
In real life, Big Two requires at least three people to play. However, in "iTaiwan Big2" you can start a game at any time (computers will fill in for missing players). At the start of the game, players take turns being the dealer in order (the "Virtual Dealer" in the game does not affect points or card comparison rules). After the dealer cuts the deck, the dealing order is decided counter-clockwise based on the cut card's value, and then cards are dealt clockwise. After everyone receives 13 cards (including computers), the person holding the 3 of Clubs starts by discarding first. The game proceeds counter-clockwise. You can choose to discard a combination of cards or a single card, but the next player must discard cards that are higher in rank than the previous player's cards. Detailed gameplay instructions are as follows:
Playing Cards
At the beginning of the game, the person possessing the 3 of Clubs must discard first. Any hand type can be played, but it must include the 3 of Clubs. If the 3 of Clubs cannot form a combination with other cards, a single 3 of Clubs must be played.
After the player with the 3 of Clubs plays a single card or a combination, the turn passes to the next player counter-clockwise. If a player cannot play a hand higher than the previous player's, does not have the same hand type as the previous player, or does not wish to play, they must call “PASS” to let the next player play. In the game, if a player cannot decide which cards to play within the Table Master's set time limit, “PASS” will be considered the player's final choice, and the next player will then decide whether to play. When a player plays a hand and the other three players all “PASS”, that player can start a new round by playing any hand type.
Once you call “PASS”, you cannot play any more cards until two other players have also “PASS”ed and the last player starts a new round. However, there is an exception: if you have Four of a Kind or a Straight Flush, you can play them at any time.
Winning and Losing:
When one player plays all the cards in their hand first, that player is the winner (1st place). At this point, points will be added or deducted based on the number of cards remaining in each player's hand.
Hand Types and Rankings
In "iTaiwan Big2" card comparison is based on the card numbers. If the numbers are the same, the suit determines the rank. However, if a player has a special hand, they can play it at any time (unless the rank, number, or suit is lower than the previous player's card).
Numbers: From smallest to largest: 3 ‹ 4 ‹ 5 ‹ 6 ‹ 7 ‹ 8 ‹ 9 ‹ 10 ‹ J ‹ Q ‹ K ‹ A ‹ 2
Suits: From smallest to largest: Clubs ‹ Diamonds ‹ Hearts ‹ Spades
Special Hands: Dragon ‹ Straight Flush ‹ Four of a Kind ‹ Other Hand Types
Hand Description
Single: Played one by one. Compare numbers first; 2 is the largest, 3 is the smallest. If numbers are the same, compare suits.
Pair: Two cards of the same number played together. Compare numbers first, then suits.
Three of a Kind: Three cards of the same number played together. Since there are only four cards of a number, just compare numbers; identical numbers won't occur.
Full House: A hand consisting of any Pair and any Three of a Kind. Comparison is based only on the rank of the Three of a Kind in the combination. For example, 77733 is a 7 Full House, AAA66 is an Ace Full House.
Regular Straight: Any five consecutive cards from A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K played together constitute a Straight. Specifically, 2-3-4-5-6 is the largest. Combinations further to the left are smaller; combinations further to the right are larger.
Four of a Kind (Iron Branch): Any four cards of the same number paired with any single card (e.g., 55552 is a Four of a Kind of 5s, KKKK3 is a Four of a Kind of Ks). Comparison is based on the number of the four cards; 2 is the largest, 3 is the smallest.
Straight Flush: Same as a Regular Straight, but all five cards must be of the same suit.
Dragon: One of each card from A to 13. If four players all get a Dragon, the suit of the K is compared, but this is almost impossible.
Note: For Single, Pair, Three of a Kind, Regular Straight, and Full House, you must follow the previous player. Meaning, if they play a Single, you must play a larger Single; if they play a Full House, you must play a larger Full House. However, Four of a Kind and Straight Flush can beat the above five types. This means regardless of which of these five types is played, if you have Four of a Kind or a Straight Flush, you can play it without worrying about the hand type difference. When two people both have Four of a Kind or Straight Flush, then the size of the Four of a Kind or Straight Flush is compared, with Straight Flush being larger than Four of a Kind.
Scoring Method
Game Betting: The player starting the game can customize the bet, and the game is based on this.
General Calculation: Suppose you join a game with a bet of 10. When another player plays all their cards, and you have 2 cards remaining, you must pay 2 x 10 = 20 points to that player.
Loser Extra Multipliers:
a. When remaining cards are more than 10
(inclusive), the remaining cards count is x 2
b. When someone has played all their cards, but you still have a 2 in your remaining cards, each 2 is x 2
c. Special cards not played (including Four of a Kind, Straight Flush), are all x 2
d. When the remaining cards count is 13, the remaining cards count is x 4 (Home Run)

Changing Nickname
When players apply to become a "iTaiwan Big2" member, the modification method is the same whether you have an official nickname via full application or a temporary nickname via quick application. Players must log in via the official game website and change their nickname in the player data modification section.
