Game Brief
Pick Up Red Points (Jian Hong Dian) is a poker game popular in the Taiwan region. In "iTaiwan RedPoint", we adopt the authentic, original Taiwanese rules, ensuring you play day and night without getting bored, happy every day with a glowing face!
Game Methods
In real life, Pick Up Red Points requires at least four people to play. However, in "iTaiwan RedPoint", you can start a game at any time (computers will fill in for missing players). At the start of the game, players take turns acting as the Deck Cutter (the Cutter is determined at the very beginning by card rank; the player with the highest points becomes the Cutter, and then it rotates among players). After cutting the deck, the dealing order is determined counter-clockwise based on the cut card's points, and then cards are dealt clockwise. Each person receives 6 cards (including computers). Then, 4 cards are taken from the deck to the community cards (table). The player to the right of the Cutter starts discarding first, and the game proceeds counter-clockwise. Detailed gameplay instructions are as follows:
- Playing Cards At the beginning of the game, the player to the right of the Cutter discards first. If a card on the table matches a card in hand, they can capture the cards. The matching methods are as follows:
【1】A, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9: Any two cards that sum up to 10 can be matched. For 10, J, Q, K: Any two identical cards can be matched.
【2】If there are no matching cards, one card must be discarded to the table. There is no restriction on matching; players can discard freely.
【3】After every discard, regardless of whether a capture was made, one card must be flipped from the top of the community deck. If the flipped card matches a card on the table, it can be captured. If it cannot be matched, it is placed on the table.
【4】After a player flips a community card and determines if there is a match, the turn passes to the next player counter-clockwise to start their phase.
【5】When all cards have been matched and played, the game enters the settlement screen, and scores are calculated based on the cards captured by the players.
- Points Red cards score points, but:
Spade A 15 points Club A 15 points
20 points for A (Red)
10 points for 9 10 J Q K (Red)
The remaining 2~8 (Red) score according to their face value.
Thus, the total score is:
35*2 + 10*5*2 + 20*2 = 280
Winning and Losing:
The player with the highest score is the winner. If there is a tie, all tied players are winners of that round.
Scoring Method
- Table Betting The player starting the game can customize a bet amount, and the game is based on this. (To ensure fairness, the system will not record wins and losses for the computer).
- General Calculation Suppose you join a game with a bet of 10. The highest score in the round is 100, and the lowest score is 80. The player with the lowest score must pay 10 * (100-80) = 200 points to the player with the highest score.
Opening a Table
The player who starts the game is called the Table Master in the system. The Table Master can decide the points per stack, the minimum round limit, and set a password or message, so friends or players with similar playing habits can join your table.
Joining a Table
After players log in to the "iTaiwan RedPoint" game lobby and select a suitable hall, they can click to enter that game hall. Inside the hall, players can select:
* Any empty seat, to immediately join a game that is lacking players (Pai Ka).
* Any empty table, to immediately enter the opening settings screen.
* Press Immediate Start, to immediately join a game that is lacking players (Pai Ka).
* Press Auto Match, to immediately join a game that is lacking players (Pai Ka).
PS. Players can enter any table with less than four people, but the prerequisite is to have at least 10 times the current round's bet per card. Also, the table must have no password restriction, or if it has a password, the entering player must possess the password.
Avatar Selection
iTaiwan RedPoint" game provides players with many funny characters and voiceovers. After logging in, players can go to the Avatar Selection in the Member Center to set their in-game avatar.
Changing Nickname
When players apply to become a "iTaiwan RedPoint" member, the modification method is the same whether you have an official nickname via full application or a temporary nickname via quick application. Players must log in via the official game website and change their nickname in the player data modification section.
